2:00 – 4:00 PM - Wrap up the Appalachian Film Festival with a special Professional Development Session, Panel, and Q&A featuring acclaimed author Ed Ashton (Mickey7, adapted into the film Mickey 17), moderated by WSAZ’s Tim Irr.


This session will explore how a story can move from page to screen — and how a West Virginia writer’s work made its way to a major motion picture directed by an Academy Award–winning filmmaker.
