About the event
The Applachian Film Festival has returned after a 10 year hiatus! This is a three day event celebrating Appalachian filmmakers in downtown Huntington, WV. Join us for music, film, and fun on August 18-20, 2023!
Friday, August 18th, at The LOUD: Our music video kickoff party! Doors open at 8:00 PM, screenings begin at 9:00 PM. Karaoke will follow music videos!
Saturday, August 19th at Foundry: This is the main event, screening the other winning selections. Doors open at 11 AM, screenings will begin at 11:45 AM. Featuring King Coal by Elaine McMillion Sheldon at 8 PM! Doors for King Coal will reopen at 7:30 PM.
Sunday, August 20th, at Black Sheep Burritos and Brews: Screenwriting workshop brunch with Mickey Fisher! Doors at 10:30 AM, workshop will begin around 11 AM.
