Mini Mountain Mamas Talent Search

The Good Time Mountain Mamas Show is a quarterly showcase of female talent that finds local ladies performing the songs of famous male artists. This past August and November celebrated the songs of Willie Nelson and Tom Petty. The “King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley will serve as our focus for April 23.

After the intermission of each show, we feature a “Mini Mountain Mama” performing a song by the featured artist. Our goal is to motivate young women to become musicians through the encouragement of the community and experienced musicians. The comradery shared and the examples shown by her fellow Mountain Mamas will serve as an inspiration to the young performer.

Rules and Regulations

• We are seeking auditions from 3rd grade through high school.
• There is no charge to enter.
• The Talent Search will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 6:30pm at the Jean Carlo Stephenson Auditorium.
• Girls trying out should perform any song of their choice with instrumental accompaniment. This could be the student or another accompanist of any age.

Video Submissions

• Audition in-person is preferable. Video audition is acceptable if you can’t make it to the audition site for any reason.
• Submit the videos through YouTube. Email the link to Michael Valentine (valentinem@huntingtonwv.gov)
• Video audition due by Friday, March 1st by 11:59pm.
• Review your recording prior to submitting it. Check that the sound is clear enough for the judges to hear you without distortion.
