Your orchestra has a new Executive Director, Ian Jessee, He is very energetic, imaginative and will take us on an ambitious journey with the intention to make the HSO a premier orchestra in our area.

It was a great honor to be named as President of the HSO. Covid-19 was officially not the best of times for those of us who put on live music performances. However, we have persevered and believe we are on track to have an outstanding year. This July, we had a picturesque POPS concert on the banks of the Ohio River; and in August, Melissa Manchester stole the show with her performance at the Barboursville Amphitheater. Plans for performances in 2022 are nearing completion and the calendar of events will be out soon.
 

We are pleased to bring this very special collaborative concert to the historic Jean Carlo Stephenson Auditorium (The Foundry Theater) stage for you. Tonight, you will enjoy spectacular performances of your favorite holiday songs and carols featuring our newly formed Huntington Symphony Orchestra Chorus, the Wayne Elementary Honor Choir, and starring singers Carline Waugh and Ryan Hardiman.

And, of course, no holiday celebration would be complete without music from the beloved holiday favorite, “The Nutcracker''. This classic is brought to life courtesy of your HSO, featuring dancers from the Huntington Dance Theater, Academy of Arts at January's, Ashland Youth Ballet, and The Art Center School of Dance. And, if you’ve been good, you maybe be lucky enough to see Santa!
